What made OPS take this decision, specially at the time when it seemed like the merger was likely to happen soon? Some 50 days ago, there was an invitation from the EPS camp when TTV Dinakaran was very much the part of the party for merger. On both the issues there have been discussions, but we don't see them coming to convergence on this two preconditions. I don't know whether they are influencing the other (EPS) party but our decisions have been independent of any other party. We also want to reclaim the legacy of Amma and Puratchi Thalaivar MGR and establish the faction as the true AIADMK.
