Here are a few ways to use this collection as a mentor text, whether for a communitywide project or for individual work. To organize a community project on another theme:An open-ended project like this one doesn’t just have to focus on the pandemic, of course. For instance, a project on “identity” might focus on having students submit artifacts and original creations that explore the identities most important to them. An end-of-year project could prompt reflection about memorable moments in and out of the classroom. An academic unit could inspire a multimedia project around a concept or theme and its relationship to students’ lives.
