Teachers lead new campaign to combat racism

A new campaign designed to help teachers confront racism should lead to a change of attitudes in the classroom. The Teaching Council has launched a campaign, “Unteach Racism” to give teachers the support to identify and dismantle racism in schools and preschools. Unteach Racism is made so teachers and education leaders can make a difference for children facing prejudice and bias based on ethnicity. The campaign uses an app and website, with resources for teachers to grow their understanding of racism. “Unteach Racism builds on and supports this work.”The three parts of the campaign are: identify, confront and dismantle racism.
