The DepEd confirmed that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China Bank Savings on the eve of this year’s WTD celebration for the donation of over a million-peso worth of major prizes and freebies for 4,500 public school teachers present during the World Teachers’ Day (WTD) and National Teachers’ Day (NTD) national celebration at Limketkai Center Atrium, Cagayan De Oro City on October 5. “This is the first time that after years of celebrating World Teachers’ Day and National Teachers’ Day, private partners, through the efforts of DepEd External Partnership Service, are giving away major prizes directly to the teachers,” he added. “Our support for the National Teachers’ Day is for our teachers who deserve encouragement, reward, and recognition to the community with the sons and daughters they help to mold into bright citizens of the country,” he ended.
