The Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers said today it will donate 50,000 face masks and 2,000 of 300 milliliter hand sanitizers to secondary and primary schools. The teachers' union said it has sourced 130,000 adult face masks and 20,000 children's face masks. For each box of masks a teacher member buys, the union will also give two packets of 20 children's face masks and an "anti-epidemic pack," and teachers can distribute them to students and other non-teaching staff. Union chairman Wong Kam-leung said there is still a shortage of face masks. Production will begin in mid-April and it is estimated that 20,000 children's face masks can be produced a day.
