Police on Saturday arrested a primary school teacher in a case filed for raping a fourth grader from Enayetpur in Chauhali upazila of Sirajganj. The arrested, identified as Nuruzzaman, is the assistant teacher of Majhgram Government Primary School in Enayetpur, said Enayetpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC), Molla Masud. However, noticing physical changes, the victim's mother went to Bismillah Modern Hospital to have her daughter examined on May 27. Subsequently, the parents filed a case against Nuruzzaman under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with Enayetpur police station on Saturday. Regarding the matter, Officer-in-Charge Molla Masud said: "Nuruzzaman was sent to jail following a court order on Saturday evening."
