Teacher acquitted of keeping leaked UPSR paper, but 'actual culprit' still free - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: A Tamil school teacher who had kept a UPSR 2014 Science paper in her mobile phone, has been acquitted. "But the person who leaked the papers, the actual culprit is still walking free," he said in a media statement. "However, the prosecution appealed to the Taiping High Court which then directed my client to defend herself at the Sessions Court," he said. "After hearing all the witnesses and submissions by both defence and prosecution, Sessions Court judge Johari acquitted Uma as the defence successfully raised a reasonable doubt," he said. He also said that this was the second OSA case against a school teacher where the accused has been acquitted.
