In fact, YouTube claims that in its first 24 hours on the site, Swift’s latest was watched 30,000 times every minute, and the excitement has yet to wear off for many. The Joseph Kahn-directed and co-produced piece of art premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, and from that moment, it was off and running. The success of the official video follows in the footsteps of its lyric video, which also made history when it was first dropped just a few days earlier.
