Tax reform is now the priority of the Trump administration after the push to pass the American Health Care Act fizzled. Right now, this renewed focus on tax reform is necessary and welcome. Tax reform could kick start higher GDP growth, and is the most stimulative measure we could take for our economy today . The case for tax reform sounds positive, and while the heightened focus in Washington is a good sign, exactly where we go from here remains to be seen. The last time the U.S. saw comprehensive tax reform was when Washington passed Ronald Reagan’s 1986 Tax Reform Act.
