The Senator representing Kogi west Senatorial district of Kogi State, Smart Adeyemi, on Monday met with the Director General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Engr. Mustapha Maihaja, over last Friday’s attack by armed militia on Tawari community in Kogi council area. Senator Adeyemi urged the agency to provide immediate aids to the people of Tawari Community in Kogi local government. Maihaja, however, promised to conduct a site assessment of the community so as to ascertain the kind of relief materials needed. He added that both the assessment and deployment of relief materials to the community would be completed by the weekend.
