Tauranga water woes plague contractors


Tauranga City Councillors have been busy dealing with water woes throughout the city this week, and a water shutdown is expected to take place next week. Warning signs have been placed along the Waioraka Stream in Welcome Bay after a sewer blockage incident caused an overflow to the stream. Contractors have also been busy dealing with a water leak under a large Norfolk Pine at Waimapu St. The council is looking at options for replacing the water main. A leak at 105 Domain Rd, Papamoa, has been repaired but the pipe work is not in good condition and the council will investigate thiis further.
