A girl was flown to Waikato Hospital on October 5 after falling from a tree in Taupō (file photo). A girl has died after falling out of a tree. Police confirmed the nine-year-old Taupō girl died on October 20 at Starship Hospital. The girl fell from a tree at a Taupō property on October 5 and was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment. The next day she was taken to Starship Hospital where she died about two weeks later.
