While there is no official confirmation from Tata Motors yet, the image released on the official BNCAP confirms the arrival of Tata Punch with six airbags.The Punch is currently offered with standard dual frontal airbags.The update will result in the introduction of side as well as curtain airbags. It is yet to be seen if six airbags will be offered across the entire range, or if the feature will be reserved for the higher-end variants only. For reference, Tata Punch's rival Hyundai Exter offers six airbags as standard across all variants.Moreover, the Tata Punch previously earned a Global NCAP five-star safety rating under the programme's older protocol. The Punch is also available with an optional CNG kit which gets Tata Motors' dual-cylinder technology.
