In the women's elite race, Yeshi Chekole claimed her first major marathon victory with a time of 2:25:13. Her winning time was the fifth-fastest among women's winners in the history of the Mumbai Marathon. With these victories, Ethiopia swept both the men's and women's titles at the Mumbai Marathon for the seventh time.
