Del Rosario encouraged Marawi residents to help the government and not give sanctuary to the ISIS amid reports of its growing influence in Mindanao. During a dialogue with Maranao residents, Del Rosario was asked if he could assure them that an incident similar to the Marawi siege will never happen again. “Task Force Bangon Marawi is committed to rehabilitating Marawi City to bring back [a] better Marawi, per instruction of our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” he added.
