MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – A man who had been wanted by police for several months for allegedly raping and abusing a minor-aged female in Concepcion town in Tarlac province was arrested in Makati City on Friday night, September 24, the Tarlac police disclosed in a belated report Saturday. In a statement, Tarlac police chief Police Colonel Renante Cabico identified the arrested suspect as Michael Silvano, 45, the top 3 most wanted person in the province. ADVERTISEMENTTarlac police arrested Silvano during a manhunt operation along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Guadalupe, Makati City around 7:30 p.m., almost four months after Judge Ronald Leo Haban Regional Trial Court Branch 66 in Capas, Tarlac issued an arrest warrant against the suspect for rape and acts of lasciviousness with no bail recommended. Regional Police Office 3 said Silvano is the primary suspect in the rape of a girl in Minane village in Concepcion town early this year. The agency said the suspect immediately went into hiding after allegedly committing the crime.
