CAMP MACABULOS, Tarlac City: A drug suspect who was caught with 21 sachets of shabu was killed in Barangay Tibag here during a buy-bust recently. Cornelio Ordanza, Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit chief, said Ramon Romero pulled out his gun and opened fire upon sensing that he was dealing with a poseur buyer. He died from multiple gunshot wounds while Senior Police Officer 2 Oscar Macusi Jr. was hit in the abdomen during the firefight. Found in Romero’s pocket were the sachets of shabu, marked money, a .45 caliber pistol loaded with live ammunition and cartridge cases and assorted drug paraphernalia. Jerry M. Hernandez
