BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman has joined the party’s executive committee meeting through video conference from London. The meeting, chaired by party chief and Tarique’s mother Khaleda Zia, started around 11am on Saturday at Dhaka’s Le Meridien hotel. It comes at a time when Khaleda is waiting for the verdict in a corruption case. Tarique Rahman went to London in 2008 after being released on parole for treatment. He has been staying there since.
