At 11 am, Tarique Rahman met top leaders of the Left Democratic Alliance at the BNP chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka. Alliance leaders urged Tarique Rahman to prevent anti–Liberation War forces from playing any role in politics. Earlier, Ganosamhati Andolan Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki called on Tarique Rahman along with other party leaders. Tarique Rahman urged activists to work in unity, while Al Habib pledged to carry out activities peacefully. The BNP acting chairman also held separate meetings with leaders of the AB Party, the Labour Party, and Mahmudur Rahman Manna, convener of Nagorik Oikya.
