A New Plymouth woman who hand makes earrings has brought out a limited edition set inspired by the recent Olympics in her homeland of Japan. So instead she gifted two pairs to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to thank her for her leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic. “I found Mizuhiki earrings you could make, so I wanted to make it myself.”ANDY JACKSON/Stuff Brown has gifted a pair to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. She took an online workshop in November, where she learnt to twist and weave the rice paper strings. Brown sells her earrings online, as well as at the Collaboration and Gover St Galley in New Plymouth.
