The annual Taranaki Pig Show was held on Saturday, as was the Taranaki Cat Show, with the two events bringing in people – and their animals – from all around the country. “I didn't expect that.”ANDY JACKSON/Stuff Pig exhibitor Brae Scott, from Hāwera, keeps a close eye on the prize. Further north, in Bell Block, there were a number of other breeds on show – but they were cat breeds. The 42 annual cat show was held at the Bell Block Hall and show manager Michelle Magrath and Taranaki Cat Club secretary Janice Davey said it was a great day. The cat won a best in show award, and got two runner-up placings.
