It has been alleged a Taranaki accountant stole $440,887.33 from a Trust owned by his former partner. A Taranaki accountant is accused of swindling more than $440,000 from his former client and partner. The trust was owned by a woman who initially hired the financial services of Stachurski in 2008. ​Lawyer Jo Woodcock said Stachurski does not dispute he owes the woman money, but it was a matter of civil recovery and not criminal offending. Given her concerns, she sought the help of a lawyer and another accountant looked over the Trust's financial affairs.
