In opening Friday box office news that isn't about The LEGO Movie 2, Taraji P. Henson scored a moderate hit with What Men Want. Paramount/Viacom (through their Paramount Players brand) released this $20 million comedy 2,912 theaters and earned $6.6m for their troubles. Speaking of action spectaculars, Liam Neeson released what is probably his best post-Taken action vehicle yet. But we'll never know if the positive reviews could have moved the needle had its star not been an over-sharer. So, in that sense, its $2.02 million Friday and likely $5.454m debut weekend is arguably good enough.
