He made the pledge on Tuesday afternoon while addressing a street rally in Ward 55 under Jhauchar of Kamrangirchar in Dhaka, as part of his election campaign. Claiming to be the recipient of support from the voters of DSCC, Taposh requested them to vote for him so that he could win the polls bid by a large margin and serve the residents of Dhaka south city. “If given a chance, the door of Nagar Bhaban [mayor’s office] will be open to serve every single citizen 24x7, throughout the five-year tenure,” he said. Flanked by nearly a thousand party men, Taposh was also surrounded by enthusiastic locals, especially children holding placards and seeking votes for him.
