The Election Commission will air taped one-hour debates on the charter in a daily afternoon programme on the Thai PBS TV station from July 25 to Aug 5. Election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn said on Monday that the one-hour programme would feature proponents and opponents of the draft charter politely exchanging opinions. The EC will also distribute 1 million cmplete copies of the draft charter and 17 million copies of the main content, and publish the full draft in popular political newspapers.
