The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday arrested the alleged mastermind in connection with the murder of slain NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Police had claimed to have solved the case by arresting two persons and contended that domestic dispute was the motive behind the crime. Tanzil Ahmed was shot 21 times on April 3 by assailants on his way back from a wedding in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district. According to ANI, Muneer has been arrested and the questioning is underway. His wife Farzana succumbed to injuries a few days after Tanzil passed away.
