Halima Mdee, the Kawe MP and chairperson of women’s wing of the Chadema party, was charged in a Kisutu court on Monday and denied the charge. State Attorney Nassoro Katuga told the court that on July 8, 2017, Ms Mdee uttered abusive remarks against President Magufuli during a news conference at the Chadema headquarters in Dar es Salaam. INVESTIGATIONSMs Mdee allegedly said the president talks too much without thinking about the consequences of his utterances. Her statement could have disrupted peace, Mr Katuga told the court.
