A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to choose one of my favourite movies and present it to a live audience at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin. Being asked was the best and worst email to get: I was flattered at the invite, but spent many sleepless nights whittling down a shortlist. After a week or two, and as the bags under my eyes became big enough to pack for a fortnight in Lanzarote, I landed on The One: 1995’s Before Sunrise.
