Deputy President William Ruto finally accessed AIPCA church in Kenol after a morning filled with chaos in which a man was beaten until he fell unconscious. After disruption of the service which was to start at 9.30am, the service proceeded at around 11am with host Kandara MP Alice Wahome saying, "Hatumuachi (we are not leaving him)." Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro blamed "people we pay taxes to" for the chaos. Other church leaders proceeded to apologise to Ruto for the chaos earlier. A few minutes later, a teargas canister was thrown towards the MP, causing journalists to scamper for safety.
