A Tangail court has sent the principal of Gopalpur Darul Ulum Kamil Madrasa into police remand in a case filed against him for seeking salvation for the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s killers at a Victory Day event. As his prayer led to confusion and tension in the area, police detained the madrasa teacher right after the incident and started the process to file a case. Also Read- Case filed against madrasa teacher for praying for Bangabandhu’s killersAbdul Kader Talukdar, former commander of the Muktijoddha Command Council, late on Saturday night had filed the case against Sarker. The court had sent Sarker to jail rejecting his bail plea.
