Tanami Nayler 'tried to run' for her life before she was killed by drunk NZ driverFacebook Tanami Nayler was spending a weekend away in Melbourne. Nayler was killed instantly, her body striking a traffic pole and being flung a further 10 metres before coming to a halt in the middle of another intersection. Prosecutor Jeremy McWilliams said that Nayler was walking just ahead of her friend, on the way to his home. After he killed Nayler, he ran past her body and later dumped his clothes. Before she died, Tanami had text-messaged her to let her know she had arrived in Melbourne safely and loved her.
