The XFL’s Tampa Bay yet-to-be-named franchise introduced Trestman as its new coach and general manager on Tuesday. Trestman became the fourth coach to be hired by an XFL franchise, joining Bob Stoops (Dallas), Pep Hamilton (Washington) and Jim Zorn (Seattle). Despite winning three Grey Cup titles as a CFL coach, Trestman has been fired from his last two jobs. Luck reached out to Trestman earlier this year and asked if he could be given the reins of an XFL franchise, which one would he choose. Luck and the XFL are the latest to bank on Trestman’s brand of offensive play-calling.
