Senior GJM leaders Binay Tamang and Anit Thapa were expelled from the party today for "violating" the party line and alleged anti-party activities.The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's central committee convened by its supremo Bimal Gurung at an undisclosed location near the Darjeeling- Sikkim border. "Binay Tamang and Anit Thapa have been expelled from the party for violating the party line and anti-party activities," GJM general secretary Roshan Giri said. West Bengal police have today issued a look out notice against GJM Chief Bimal Gurung and party General Secretary Roshan Giri.Roshan Giri also said that some of the GJM leaders would be present at the September 12 all-party meeting convened by the state government. "When some traders tried to open theirs shops, GJM supporters forcibly closed them," a senior police official said. The police, however, denied the allegation.Union Minister SS Ahluwalia on Friday pitched for talks for resolution of the Gorkhaland imbroglio.
