Talgo train delayed by 17 minutes during speed trial at 140kmph


The Spanish-made Talgo train got delayed by 17 minutes during it second spell of trial run at the top speed of 140 kmph on Thursday. The Railway ministry resumed speed trials after a gap of three weeks from Wednesday. The high-speed train is expected to cover the distance between New Delhi and Mumbai in 12 hours and 12 minutes. So the railways is conducting speed trials with a nine-coach Talgo train at various speeds — 130kmph, 140kmph and 150 kmph — since last May. Now, its last and final speed trial at 150kmph will be conducted on Saturday.
