PETALING JAYA: It’s all about mind over matter for Soniia Cheah as she gets ready for the Uber Cup Finals despite the uncertainties around the tournament. There have been growing concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic ahead of the Finals in Aarhus, Denmark, from Oct 3-11, with teams and players pulling out. Taiwan have withdrawn from both the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals while India’s P.V. For China, Australia and South Korea, they are waiting for the green light from their government as these countries have closed their borders. Soniia, although worried, said she has decided to put the interest of the nation first.
