Gathering at the school’s field, they performed a Muslim prayer and joined an anti-violence parade, while officials led by governor Sitthichai Sakda observed. Sitthichai also presented the Bt500,000 initial compensation to Mayeng’ Wohbas elder sister Saidung Wohba who along with other relatives would have to take care of Mayeng’s six-year-old son. Mayeng was a Bangkok-based security guard before divorcing his wife and moving back to hometown Pattani with his two young children and working odd jobs to tend his family. He was killed in the bomb attack in front of the school on Tuesday.
