Taiwan Premier Su Tseng-chang, has said Chan Tong-kai, left, will not be allowed to visit independently. Chan Tong-kai has yet to confirm to Taiwan’s Internal Administration Committee of the Legislative Yuan about whether he would surrender, an official said. Chan, 22, is sought by Taiwan authorities for allegedly killing his pregnant girlfriend Poon Hiu-wing during a holiday in Taiwan two years ago. Huang Ming-chao of Taiwan’s Criminal Investigation Bureau, said that Chan and his lawyer had not approached Taiwan authorities via “official channels.'' “A Hongkonger murdered a Hongkonger, and if the murderer is in Hong Kong, it is easy for Hong Kong to handle the case...If Hong Kong needs further information, Taiwan will provide, as appropriate.”He said that if Chan wants to surrender to Taiwan, the government of Taiwan and Hong Kong should have discussions.
