"We’ve held dialogue with Japan, the Philippines and other first island chain countries," he said. The talks could also include topics such as weapons integration and defense-industrial cooperation through frameworks such as the US-led Partnership for Indo-Pacific Industrial Resilience and the Taiwan Security Cooperation Initiative, he added.
