The deal comes against the background of equipment upgrades for emergency services and the establishment of the FirstNet communications network in 2012. The agreement with Harris' public safety and professional communications division, gives the US$10 billion [NZ$14b] New York Stock Exchange-listed company exclusive dealership for Tait products in the region.
