Photo: Linda RobertsonThe Taieri Gorge train which derailed at North Taieri earlier today has returned to Dunedin Railway Station with its passengers. It arrived about 5pm after it was disconnected from a derailed wagon at the rear of the train early in the afternoon. They were now repairing the site, and both the Taieri Gorge train and line were expected to be fully operational again today, he said. Passenger Stephen Sutherland said a baggage carriage derailed when the train moved to a siding this afternoon.
