THE Taguig City Government has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd)-Taguig City office to promote a “learn from home” experience in the city through the program “Education Hour”. “We see a lot of potential in ‘Education Hour.’ This introduces students to a new era in learning. We want to maximize the Web because we want learning to happen everywhere, for anyone who wants to learn.” Mayor Lino Cayetano said in a statement. Teachers would be allowed to conduct their lectures at their own homes for their safety, or can use the “MacLab” or “Cyberlab” facilities in all Taguig City public schools. The city also has several education programs in the pipeline, including plans to launch On-Line Teaching, Learning from Home and a pioneering Cyber Home-Schooling program.
