President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on Friday. The special programme on Rabindranath was jointly organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Television under the auspices of Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky made the programme while Director General of Bangladesh Television SM Harun-ur-Rashid was in the overall supervision. On the 25th of Baishakh in 1268 Bengali year, Rabindranath, the fountainhead of Bengali wisdom, was born at Jorasanko in Kolkata.
