The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the fund was turned over to the Leyte Metropolitan Water District. “The remaining donated funds has been earmarked to procure the needed water meter units to pursue the project to provide water supply to residents in said resettlement sites,” Jalad said. Tacloban City was one of the areas that bore the brunt of the onslaught of Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. “One of these urgent needs is water supply for the residents,” he added.
