Sri Lanka started the tournament on the wrong foot as they had to give walk-overs on the first day to Japan (Cadet Boys), Chinese Taipei (Cadet Girls), DPR Korea (Junior Girls) Chinese Taipei (Junior Boys) and Kazakhstan (Junior Girls) due to their delayed arrival in Thailand. Results:Cadet Girls: Lost to Thailand 0-3, Lost to Hong Kong (HK) 0-3, Beat Kazakhstan 3-2, Lost to Iran 0-3, Lost to India 0-3. Cadet Boys: Lost to HK 0-3, Lost to Saudi Arabia (KSA) 2-3, Beat Kazakhstan 3-2. Junior Girls: Lost to Thailand 0-3, Lost to Singapore 0-3, Lost to Kazakhstan 1-3.
