Arman Hossain Sumon, 38, a sound engineer with a private TV station, was detained on Wednesday after the woman started a case at Ramna Police Station on Tuesday, DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman told bdnews24.com. The 20-year old woman alleged in the case that she had become pregnant once after her stepfather Sumon raped her. The police said Sumon married the alleged victim’s mother in 2005 after her mother had divorced her father. She alleged Sumon raped her at their Mohammadpur house in her mother’s absence and took photos of the incident when she was 12 years old in 2008. Sumon sent videos of her rape to one of her friends after she moved to her aunt’s house last year, she added.
