As the usual crew of Silicon Valley invaders—Facebook and Google in particular—have begun making forays into the TV space, they’ve attempted to change the rules. (There’s also the chance that Silicon Valley is getting burned by its own metrics. Everything Is In BetaThe good news for the Silicon Valley companies is that nothing is permanent and everything is fixable. And that a TV series needs to be good in order to get people to watch it. That’s likely a lesson that will be learned the hard way, one failed series at a time, but it's a lesson that definitely needs learning.
