Toronto police have arrested a man for impaired driving after his car slammed into a TTC bus shelter in Scarborough, with the people inside narrowly escaping injury. Police were called to the area of Sheppard Avenue East and Progress Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday. The driver lost control of the vehicle before going through bushes and then crashing into the bus shelter, police tweeted. This incident is just a three-minute drive away from where an alleged impaired driver went through the intersection of Progress Avenue and Markham Road, and lost control of his vehicle killing two 19-year-old students Monday.
