The Toronto Transit Commission is conducting an internal review after realizing that staff didn’t act quickly enough to support a troubled bus driver who witnessed the Yonge Street van attack, a spokesman said on Friday. And the call didn’t occur until after he went to complain at his TTC office, Johnson said. (There were five TTC employees, including Johnson and another bus driver, in the area during the attack. On the day of the attack, Johnson was driving his bus southbound on Yonge Street, in heavy traffic near Mel Lastman Square. The van continued, past the bus, launching one woman into the air and another headfirst into a concrete planter.
