Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) union leaders will submit representations to all the elected representatives on Friday with regard to the ongoing indefinite bus strike in the state. Even as the strike entered its sixth day on Thursday, there were no signs of letting up from the TSRTC unions, which will also conduct silent rallies across all of the bus depots in Telangana on 12 October. On Thursday, only a fraction of buses were plying on roads in Hyderabad and across the state (through private drivers hired by state government). With the strike entering its sixth day, it is compounding the corporation’s financial situation, as it is already a loss making body. The official added that the TSRTC makes a loss of about ₹2 crore a day, mainly due to operational costs.
