By BRUHAN MAKONG More by this AuthorThe Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 500 teaching posts on contract terms in Garissa, Wajir, Mandera and Lamu counties. According to a letter by TSC chief executive Nancy Macharia seen by the Nation, the 500 positions include 191 posts for primary schools and another 309 for secondary schools. Many teachers in northeastern and Lamu moved to other parts of the country following a spate of attacks by Al-Shabaab. Interested candidates are advised to make their applications online through the TSC website before the end of June 30. In Wajir and Garissa counties alone, at least 1,000 teachers left.
